With warm, spring weather just around the corner, ice cream will be starting to make its way back into the minds of the GTA. The Junction is a very unique area, home to plenty of independently owned shops. Their ice shops are no exception, here are the one’s you should visit.

Ice Cream Junction is a 50’s nostalgia ice cream parlour, located at Dundas at Clendenan. Being one of maybe two ice cream stores in the area, it’s no question that Ice Cream Junction has a firm grip on the ice cream game here in the Junction. The décor models that of an old ice cream parlour. The interior features vibrant shades of pink and a few retro black and chrome trim tables. It’s a small store, as are most stores in the area, so seating is limited. However, the majority of customers opt for carry out. There are 36 flavours to choose from and their waffle cones are made in-house. The scoop sizes are generous and the prices are competitive (one scoop in a regular cone costs $2.95 and $3.95 for a waffle cone.) Apart from just ice cream by the scoop, Ice Cream Junction also offers root beer floats, milkshakes, various type of candy and the ‘itty-bitty’ cone, which costs just $0.75. The store is kid friendly, as you would imagine, so don’t by shy to bring the whole family and enjoy a scoop or two from Ice Cream Junction.
